The Hound of the Baskervilles, serialized in The Strand Magazine from 1901 to 1902, is the most famous of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes novels. It marked the triumphant return of Holmes after Doyle had "killed" him off eight years earlier in "The Final Problem."
