Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, commonly known as Alice in Wonderland, is an 1865 children's novel by Lewis Carroll (the pseudonym of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson). A landmark of the literary nonsense genre, it tells the story of a girl named Alice who tumbles down a rabbit hole into a fantastical world populated by eccentric, talking creatures where logic is constantly subverted.
